This course explores horticulture and garden design, combining practical plant cultivation with the study of historical and contemporary landscape principles. Students learn soil preparation, plant selection, irrigation, pruning, and sustainable garden management. Historical garden styles—from ancient to modern, Eastern and Western—are analyzed to inspire creative, eco-friendly designs. Through research, projects, and discussions, students develop skills to plan and propose functional, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally responsible landscapes.
