In many cases, farmers alone cannot afford buying PLF technologies
PLF technologies installed in farms can create value all along the supply chain.
As stakeholders along the chain share benefits, they might also share the costs of implementing the PLF technologies
For that purpose, the concept of "PLF integrator" was developed
