The PLF technology will assist the farmer in observing the birds continuously and generate alerts when intervention is needed.
By doing so, losses in growth or reduced welfare conditions can be minimized or prevented.
Given that information on feed use, animal health and welfare can be used also by other actors in the feed-farm-food supply chain there is significant opportunity for other actors to derive value from the technology.
